LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Mansfield Mountaineers women's soccer team (0-4) dropped a tough battle on the road against the Lock Haven Bald Eagles (2-2-1), 2-0, on Tuesday (Sept. 16).
The Bald Eagles had opportunities throughout the first half, but could not find the finishing touch.Â
The Mountaineers countered with strong defensive play and steady goalkeeping to keep Lock Haven off the board.Â
Lock Haven held a slight edge in possession and chances after halftime to sneak one past Serenity Esterline and the Bald Eagles offense held strong, collecting another goal for the books.
The game finished with a final score of 2-0Â in favor of Lock Haven.
Esterline collected 11 saves throughout the 90 minutes of play.
