MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mansfield Mountaineer cross country team and second year head coach
Nick Mattis welcome six new members to the program as the Mounties start their preparations for the 2025 campaign.
Mattis will bring in four new runners on the women's side and two men for the male roster to compete in the 2025 season. The six comprise from two states with three from Pennsylvania and three from New York.
With a promising outlook for the future of the program, coach Mattis will look to improve the rosters with his first recruiting class as the head coach.
The team will head to seven meets during the fall schedule, with the red and black starting the season at the Doug Watts Open, hosted by Edinboro on Saturday, September 6.
Coach Mattis's Take: "The women's side look to take a big step forward from last year with this incoming class as I see potential in this roster going into the new season" said coach Mattis. "On the men's side, the two newcomers will help build to a group that can find new strides over the year".
