The Mansfield field hockey team finished their campaign on Saturday afternoon.

MANSFIELD, PA. – The Mansfield Mountaineers field hockey team celebrated senior day with a 3-1 win, against Slippery Rock University on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Kathleen Marchiani set the tone early, cashing in on a perfect feed from Jenna Duke to put Mansfield (7-11, 2-7 PSAC) on the board within the first two minutes.

Leah Toskey sliced through the Slippery Rock goal to double the lead on a penalty stroke.

The Rock (5-12, 1-8 PSAC) managed to sneak one in late during the third bringing the score to 2-1.

In the final minutes of the curtain call, Mansfield kept the momentum rolling as Sophia Vadnais delivered a pin point penalty stroke to bury the shot for a 3–1 advantage.

The last five minutes of play the Mounties held the ball, allowing them to pull away with a special senior day win with a final score of 3-1.
