Mansfield Announces 2024 Alumni-Athletic Hall of Fame; Induction Ceremony to be Held on Oct. 4

MANSFIELD, Pa. – Randall Beasley '89 (Football), Lee Brannon '00 (Football), Katrina Brumfield '08 (Women's Track & Field), and Jessica Scordino '14 (Women's Cross Country/ Track & Field) will be inducted into the Mansfield Alumni-Athletic Hall of Fame as the class of 2024 at the 42nd celebration on Friday night, October 4.

Registration information will be posted soon. The 2024 Hall of Fame Class will enjoy a complimentary reception at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Each inductee is offered one guest at a complimentary rate. All other guests, please register using the "Other Guests" option.

"These men and women represent the very best that Mansfield has to offer. Their levels of success – exemplified by their work ethic – are unparalleled." Director of Athletics Peggy Carl stated.  "This is the highest honor that can be bestowed on a Mansfield student-athlete, coach, or administrator and these four are more than worthy of induction. We are very excited to welcome all four back to the mountain to offer our congratulations in person."
Randall Beasley
Football
Class of 1989

Beasley was a four-year starter on the football team under Hall of Fame coach Tom Elsasser from 1984-88. An
All-PSAC East Second Team selection in 1986, Beasley received a medical red-shirt for 1987 after suffering a broken jaw in the opening game of the 1987 season. He returned to the field in 1988 where he was a co-captain and First Team All-PSAC East selection at linebacker.
 
An outside linebacker, Beasley led the team, and ranked among the PSAC leaders, in sacks in 1988 with 6.5. He also led the team in fumble recoveries that season with five. In 1986, Beasley ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 59 and led the team in sacks with five.
 
Lee Brannon
Football
Class of 2000

Brannon is the most accomplished running back to ever graduate from Mansfield.
 
A 2000 graduate, Brannon was the first player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season compiling 1,024 yards on the ground in 1998. He followed that up by breaking his single season record with 1,411 rushing yards in 1999. Perhaps even more remarkable, Brannon never fumbled the ball on a school record 237 carries that season while becoming the first player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.
 
He led the team in scoring in 1997, 1998, and 1999, finishing his career with a then record 3,268 rushing yards. Brannon capped off his career with a stellar senior season in 1999 finishing 10th in the nation in NCAA Division II in rushing, second in rushing in the PSAC and first in rushing in the PSAC East to earn First Team All-PSAC as well as First Team All-ECAC South honors. He was named the Mansfield University Fall Male Athlete of the Year in 1998 and 1999.
 
Katrina Brumfield
Track and Field
Class of 2008
 
Brumfield is one of the top track athletes in program history. Her name appears numerous times throughout the Mansfield top 10 record book.
 
Brumfield still holds records in in both the indoor (1.66 meters) and outdoor (1.65 meters) high jump. She was a part of the school record 4x200  meter relay team (indoor) and the 4x400 meter relay team (outdoor).
 
Brumfield is a three-time All-PSAC and PSAC Scholar-Athlete selection and qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in the high jump in 2007. She was named Mansfield Winter Athlete of the Year in 2007-08 and Spring Athlete of the Year in 2008.
 
Brumfield is currently the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country at Chicago State.
 
Jessica Scordino
Class of 2014
Cross-Country /Track and Field
 
Scordino is one of the most accomplished female runners in school history. Scordino earned All-American honors in both the 5,000 and the 10,000 meters at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor National Championship in Pueblo, Colorado with sixth place finishes in each race.
 
She also earned All-American honors in Cross Country in 2013 at the NCAA Division II National Championship finishing 24th leading her team to a record 9th place overall finish at the National Championship.
 
She was also NCAA Division II All-American in cross country in 2012. A two-time MU Fall Female Athlete of the Year, she also was captain of the Mansfield 2013 women's cross-country team that won the PSAC Championship.
