MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineer sprint football program and seventh-year head coach John Evans introduces their 28 members to the team for the 2024 season.
Branching across seven positions, the coaching staff landed athletes from Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Mounties landed 16 offensive athletes and 12 defensive players.
Mansfield (4-3, 2-2 CSFL North) earned their fifth straight .500 season, the most successful stretch at any level of Mountaineer football since the five seasons from 1963-1967 and look to keep the success at the highest level with the goal to reach the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Championship.
This talented freshman group will mesh with a strong returning squad, which included 12 members who reached All-CSFL status this past season.

The Mounties open the regular season on Saturday, September 21 when they host Navy in part as the Josh Palmer Classic, starting at 1 p.m.
