BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Multiple athletes for the Mansfield Mountaineers women's track and field team earned victories at the first meet of the outdoor season at Bloomsburg.
Headlining the team was
Skylar Brown, who picked up two victories to open up her season. Posting a time of 12.29 in the 100-meter dash and 24.92 in the 200-meter dash, Brown hit PSAC qualifying marks in those events.
The trio of
Madison Ziska,
Abigail Taylor, and
Angie Colon consisted of the other three victories.
Ziska finished first in the 400, narrowly grabbing the gold with a time of 1:00.47. The time is the tenth fastest time in program history.
Taylor placed on top of the leaderboard of the triple jump, landing a finish of 11.24 meters.
Colon set a new personal best in the 1500-meter race walk, posting a time of 6:37.74 to grab the number one spot.
Marissa Allen finished with a personal best in the 800-meter run, acquiring the silver medal with a time of 2:32.83.
Kayla Crawford grabbed sixth with a time of 2:40.14.
Magi Earnest finished 12
th with a time of 3:12.12.
Anna Duncan started off the outdoor portion with a personal best in the 1500-meter run, posting a best time of 5:10.88 to finish fourth.
Carrie Claypool and
Allyson Lewis grabbed fifth and sixth in the race with times of 5:19.21 and 5:28.91 respectively.
Anissa Lytle posted her personal best in eighth, with a time of 5:49.81.
In the shot put,
Bailey Dockman finished eighth with a mark of 7.97 meters and
Blaze Wood finished 10
th with a mark of 6.64 meters.
Kaelyn Crawford and Dockman finished seventh and eighth in the discus with marks of 26.44 and 16.17 meters.
