Cahsid Raymond was named the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Most Valuable Player, by a unanimous vote, the league announced on Mon. (Dec. 9) morning.
Raymond was named CSFL Offensive Player of the Year last week and landed on the All-CSFL First Team as a WR.
"It means a lot", Raymond stated, " I've been trying to win that award since my freshman year."

Raymond was the Swiss army knife for the Mansfield Mountaineer offense, converting to his triple threat role and was unstoppable. With the new role, the senior posted 604 rushing yards and 386 receiving yards, leading the team in both yardages. While leading the CSFL in all-purpose yards at 1,159, his rushing yardage put him third in the league in rushing and fifth in the conference in receiving.
The Philadelphia native posted nine rushing touchdowns and a 91-yard receiving touchdown, while breaking the record for the longest rushing touchdown of 99 yards.
In the pocket, Raymond went on to become the sprint program's all-time leader in career passing touchdowns and threw for seven on the year with 686 passing yards. Overall, the captain contributed 210 total yards per game and around two touchdowns per contest.
