Abigail Taylor competed in the PSU National Invitational hosted by Penn State from Jan. 26 to Jan. 27.Â
Brown kicked things off by resetting the 60-meter dash record at Mansfield with a best time of 7.55. It beats her previous record of 7.60. That time also stands alone on top of the PSAC this season. Overall, Brown finished fifth in the finals with a time of 7.57.
In the first round of the 60-meter dash, Brown finished sixth with a 7.58 time, which broke the record initially. The semi-finals brought the record 7.55 time and a qualifying place of sixth place.
Brown came back the following day, and competed in the 200-meter dash. Brown finished 20th with a time of 25.39. That time puts her tied for the second fastest time in program history, matching the mark from Michaela Lambert in 2014.Â
Taylor competed in the triple jump finishing 16th with a best mark of 11.27 meters.Â
The full Mountaineers squad is back in action on Friday, Feb. 2 for the first day of the YSU Mid Major Invitational, hosted by Youngstown State.
