ITHACA, N.Y.- Skylar Brown picked up a victory and Abigail Taylor collected a second place finish to pace the Mansfield Mountaineer women's track and field team at the Southern Tier Invitational, hosted by Cornell University, on Saturday, Jan. 13.
 
Brown won her second 60-meter dash of the season taking the victory with a time of 7.66. She had a time of 7.64 in the preliminary round.
 
Madison Ziska also competed in the 60-meter dash finishing tenth with a time of 8.28. She also took tenth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.09.
 
Taylor took second in the triple jump with a best mark of 11.10. Taylor also competed in the long jump finishing tenth with a best mark of 3.85 meters.
 
In the 1000-meter run, Anna Duncan was the top Mountie finisher in sixth with a time of 3:18.62. Carrie Claypool was the next Mountie with a time of 3:26.90 to finish 12^th. Anissa Lytle and Marissa Allen closed out the Mansfield finishers in 16^th and 17^th with times of 3:48.06 and 3:53.07 respectively.
 
Kaelyn Crawford and Blaze Wood competed in the shot put. Crawford finished 14^th with a best mark of 8.85 meters. Wood hit a personal best mark of 7.07 meters to finish 17^th.
 
The Mounties return to action on Saturday, Jan. 20, as they travel to Houghton University to take part in the Highlander Invitational.
