GENEVA, Ohio- Skylar Brown and Abigail Taylor lead a great showing by the Mansfield University women's track and field team at the Spire Collegiate Indoor Game on Saturday, Feb. 11. 
 
Taylor finished fifth in the triple jump with a season best 11.41 meters, hit on her final jump. 
 
Brown collected the second fastest 200-meter dash time in 25.35. She also collected a third-place finish in the event. Brown was joined by Madison Ziska (32^nd, 26.71) and Jakayla Holmes (69^th, 29.20) in the race.
 
In the mile, Bailey Morgan was the top Mountie finishing 24^th with a time of 5:26.19. Carrie Claypool and Shelby Alexander finished 35^th (5:36.11) and 39^th (5:42.24) respectively.
 
Island Blanche and Magi Earnest competed in the 60-meter dash taking 31^st and 58^th, with times of 8.21 and 8.72 seconds. Kayla Crawford finished 31^st in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.30. 
 
In the 800-meter run Anna Duncan finished in 36^th (2:33.44), while Anissa Lytle finished in 54^th (2:53.84).
 
The Mountaineers are back in action Saturday, Feb. 18, as they travel back to Cornell University for the Deneault Invitational.
