LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Mansfield Mountaineers women's track and field team opened up the
Rondell Ruff era as they traveled to Bucknell University to take part in the Bison Opener, on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Skylar Brown had two top four finishes in the 60- and 100-meter dashes. Brown finished tied for third in the 60-meter dash with a PSAC qualifying time of 7.62 in the finals. She took fourth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.66, also a PSAC qualifying time.
Magi Earnest joined her in those races finishing with times of 8.62 (60, 49
th) and 29.26 (200, 37
th).
Abigail Taylor finished seventh in her first triple jump of the year with a PSAC qualifying, best mark of 11.24 meters. She also competed in her first career long jump finishing 25
th with a mark of 4.75 meter, which is the seventh best mark in program history.
Kayla Crawford finished 25
th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.47.
Kaelyn Crawford,
Delaney Clark, and
Blaze Wood all collected personal bests in the shot put with marks of 8.90 meters, 7.60 meters and 6.95 meters respectively.
The Mounties will return to action after Christmas break for the Highlander Invitational hosted by Houghton University on Saturday, Jan. 20.
