NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After bringing home a program-record seven Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) weekly honors in 2021, sophomore quarterback
Cahsid Raymond (Philadelphia, Pa. / Benjamin Franklin) continues that trend as he was named Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, Sept. 26.
Raymond accounted for four touchdowns in the Mounties 41-20 victory over Chestnut Hill University in the Mounties home opener on Saturday night, racking up 295 yards through the air and 98 yards on the ground.
Raymond finished 16-of-27 passing, with averages of 9.8 per attempt on the ground and 9.2 through the air. Raymond threw for three touchdowns and took a rush 34 yards to the house.
Senior
Chase Moser (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro) earns his first CSFL weekly award of the young season, landing on the CSFL Honor Roll on defense after recording seven tackles (four solo), three tackles for loss, a sack, and fumble recovery.
Moser leads the Mounties with five tackles for loss this season and is second on the team for total tackles (13).
The Mounties (1-1 overall) travel to CSFL North foe Cornell University on Friday night, Sept. 30 for a 7 p.m. kick off.
