BRONX, N.Y. - The Mansfield University men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the Famed Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the Fordham Fiasco on Saturday, Sept. 10.
The field consisted of Division I competition. The men's 8K race ran first. The top Mountaineer finisher was
David Wootten (Georgetown, Del./ Sussex Central), finishing 25
th, with a time of 28:33.60.
Freshman
Derek Simpson (Ulster, Pa. Notre Dame) had a breakthrough meet and was the second Mountie across the line in 29
th with a time of 29:17.20.
Senior
Christian Tanner (Smethport, Pa./ Smethport) (31

Seth Neal (Westfield, Pa./ Cowenesque Valley) (37

Carly Daniels (Cumberland, Pa. /Cedar Cliff) was the top female finisher in the 5K race finishing 20
th with a time of 20:08.70. Senior
Bailey Morgan was the next Mountie finishing 35
th in 20:56.30.
Junior
Anna Duncan (Harrisburg, Pa./ Lower Dauphin) and
Angie Colon (Farmingville, N.Y./ Sachem East) finished back-to-back in 42
nd (21:35.30) and 43
rd (21:40.20), respectively.
Senior
Shelby Alexander (Liberty, Pa./ North Penn-Liberty) (50
