LOCK HAVEN Pa. - The Mansfield University track and field team opened up the LHU qualifier with the 5K race on Friday, May 6.

Freshman Carri Claypool picked up her first career victory in the 5K. She the line at the time of 19:42.7. 

Freshman Angie Colon finished right behind in second place with a new personal best time of 20:17.7

In the men's 5K freshman Owen Showers was the first mountaineer across the line in third place with a time of 17:49.9.

Sophomore Simon Richards finished fourth in the race, with a time of 18:15.8. 

The LHU Qualifier continues tomorrow Saturday, May 7.
