Island Blanche broke the 4x100-meter relay school record and senior
Sean Ringgold broke the 200-meter dash record to highlight the Mansfield University track and field team on day two of the championships, on May 13.
The quartet put together a time of 49.03 to break the 12-year-old record. They finished sixth in the preliminary race and qualified for the finals tomorrow.
Ringgold continued to show he is a championship performer, finishing the 200-meter dash prelim in 21.68. That time slotted him in third heading into tomorrow's final. Ringgold also qualified in the 400-meter dash finishing fourth in the prelim with a personal best 48.91.
Serrano and Brown continued their days qualifying in the 100-meter dash finishing with times of 12.29 and 12.35, which was good for third and fifth. Serrano's time tied her PR, while Brown set a new PR. The duo also qualified for the 200-meter finals in fourth and fifth respectively with times of 25.29 and 25.45.
Senior
Donoven Cook closed out his career with a podium finish in the long jump, placing seventh with a best jump of 6.61 meters.
After a lightning delay the 3K Steeplechase closed out the day. Sophomore
Bailey Morgan and junior
Shelby Alexander both hit new PRs and finished 13
th (12:24.23) and 14
th (12:26.08). Freshman
Seth Neal finished 12
th on the men's side with a season best 10:14.69.
Rylie Mong finished 16
th in the pole vault clearing a mark of 3.05.
The Mountie men's 4x100 relay team consisting of Ringgold,

Aaron Thomas finished 10
th in qualifying with a 42.96.
The Mounties close out the 2022 PSAC Championships tomorrow May 14.
