EDINBORO Pa. - Freshman
Abigail Taylor collected a silver medal and All-PSAC honors in the triple jump to highlight three Mansfield University track and field athletes finishing on the podium during the second day of the PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday Feb. 27.
Taylor earned second place after she broke her own school record hitting a 11.43m mark. Taylor is the first Mansfield field athlete since 2010-11 to earn the distinction of All-Conference.
Senior
Sean Ringgold improved on his school record breaking time in the 200-meter dash finishing in 22.25, which slotted him in fourth-place for the championships.
Freshman
Aliyah Serrano made to trips to the podium. In the 200-meter dash, Serrano clocked in at 25.97 to give her a fourth-place finish. In the 60-meter dash, Serrano placed seventh with a 7.96 time.
David Wootten finished his freshman indoor campaign with a PR 4:27.63 in the mile run to finish 11
thin the race.
Junior
Madison Fox finished 13
thin the high jump clearing a height of 1.49 meters.
The Mansfield men finished the meet in 11
thas a team and the women finished 12
thas a team. Shippensburg collected a team title for the men with 210 team points, and Edinboro was crowned for the women with 96 team points.
The Mounties are set switch gears and focus on the outdoor season which begins March 26 when the team travels to Selinsgrove Pa, for the Jim Taylor Invite.
