MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mansfield University men's and women's cross country teams hosted the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships today at Lamb's Creek Recreation Area and women's standout senior
Carly Daniels (New Cumberland, Pa./ Cedar Cliff) led the way as she ran to All-Conference status.
Daniels covered the 6K course in 23:29.1 and finished 22
nd out of 165. Her 22
nd-place finish helped her earn All-Conference (Second Team; places 16-30) honors. This is the second All-Conference performance in Daniels career after finishing 18
th in 2020.
Shelby Alexander (Liberty, Pa./North Penn-Liberty) was 58
th and
Angie Colon (Farmingville, N.Y. / Sachem East) was 60
th with times of 22:45.3 and 24:51.0, respectively.
Anna Duncan (Harrisburg, Pa./Lower Dauphin) and
Bailey Morgan (Windsor, N.Y./ Windsor) rounded out the top-five on the women's side.
On the men's side,
Christian Tanner (Smethport, Pa./Smethport) was the top Mansfield finisher with a run of 26:40.5 (8K). He was 35
th out of 146 runners in the men's field.
Seth Neal (Westfield, Pa./Cowenesque Valley) was 50
th overall with a time of 27:07.7 and David Wooten (Georgetown, Del. /Sussex Central) ran 27:15.2 (54
th).
Abraham Calderon (South Amboy, N.J./ South Amboy) and
Derek Simpson (Ulster, Pa./ Notre Dame) rounded out the top-five.
The 2022 postseason run will continue on Saturday, Nov. 19 when the Mounties return to the course at Lamb's Creek to host the 2022 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championship meet.
