EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The ninth-ranked Mansfield University field hockey (7-7, 1-4 PSAC) team fell on the road, 4-0, to No. 3 East Stroudsburg University (11-1, 4-1 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 22.
 
The Warriors set the tone early, scoring their first goal 19 seconds into the contest.
 
The Mounties closed out the first half with a shutout, but ESU extended their lead with a goal in the 45
th minute, making it 2-0.
 
The Warriors struck again three minutes later, before putting the game out of reach with another score at the 50-minute mark.
 
Sophomore 
August Lewis made three saves in cage for the Mounties. Junior 
Saramae Radel recorded the lone shot on goal for MU.
 
Amy Supey and Emma Valinote secured the shutout in cage for the Warriors.
 
The Mounties are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. when Bloomsburg University visits Karl Van Norman Field.
