Katelyn Rueppel scored her fourth goal of the year on a penalty kick in the 68th minute to give the Mansfield University women's soccer team a late lead, but Lock Haven matched with three minutes to go in regulation to force overtime. The Bald Eagles connected on the game-winning penalty kick in overtime to escape with a 2-1 home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East victory on Saturday, Oct. 9.
Reuppel drew a second-half foul to set up the penalty kick that gave the Mounties (1-7-2, 0-6-2 PSAC) the 1-0 lead.
Mayleigh Perkins connected for the Bald Eagles (4-5-1, 2-5-1 PSAC) with minimal time remaining to send the game into the overtime period.
Mansfield committed a foul that set up Josie Swartz to finish off the game on a penalty kick.

Stephanie Moir made five saves in goal. Rueppel,
Taylar Luckenbill, and Alex Benedict each registered a shot on goal for Mansfield.
Mansfield has a quick turnaround as they welcome Shepherd University to Karl Van Norman Field on Monday Oct. 11. This matchup was rescheduled from Sept. 25.
