LOCK HAVEN, PA - The Mountaineers cross country teams returned to action on Saturday at Lock Haven University's Invite. The men ran an 8k which started at 10:30 a.m., and the women's 6k started at 11:30 a.m. It was their first race since they hosted Bloomsburg for a dual meet on September 8
th.

For the men, a field of 16 teams, which totaled 221 runners, competed in the 8k.
Ryan Clifford recorded a Top 5 Finish, pacing at a 4:43 mile, stopping his clock at 25:52.1. With a time of 26:09.4, junior
Quincy Amabile finished 11
th, just three seconds out of the Top 10. Jordan Homes crossed the line at 28:54.8, and
Ryan Morrissette followed him a half minute later.

The women were led by
Kenzie Jones, who ran the 6k in 22:25.9. Her performance landed her a 14
th place finish in the field of 220 runners.
Lyndsey Payne, who is coming off of her PR performance at the Mansfield dual meet with Bloomsburg, ran a 23:14.6 which landed her at 33
rd.
