CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mansfield's
Charlsie Bowen finished 16
th overall in the women's pole vault at the Division II NCAA Outdoor Championships on Thursday afternoon.

Bowen cleared her opening height of 3.65m on the third attempt before bowing out at 3.75m. She is the first outdoor pole qualifier in program history.

After battling back from injury, the senior qualified for the championships with an NCAA provisional and school record height of 3.85m earlier this season. She placed fifth overall at the PSAC Championships back in April.
"This trip to NCAA's was a great finish to her four years. It is going to be difficult to start next season without her on the team," Coach
Tim McAninch explained when talking about the 3-time All-Region selection.
