PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Charlsie Bowen was the top Division II finisher in the women's pole vault in day one the Penn Relays in Philadelphia on Thursday.
 
Bowen tied for 13th place in the 24-person pole vault field with Lauren Zaglifa of Marshall. The senior hit 3.65m on her third attempt before bowing out at the 3.80m height.
 
Also competing for Mansfield on day one was Kenzie Jones in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase. Jones finished 32nd with a personal best mark of 11:12.20.
 
Hunter Watkins will complete the Mountaineer trio at the Penn Relays participating in the men's javelin throw on Saturday at 10 a.m.
