BLOOMSBURG – The Mountaineers dropped a PSAC East doubleheader at Bloomsburg on Saturday, falling 10-6 in extra innings in the opener and 9-0 in the finale.

In game one, Bloomsburg opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning. However, in the top of the third,
Tyler Guidos wore a pitch with bases loaded to force in a run then
J.P. Bonanca plated
Colby Schearer with a sacrifice fly.
Owen Lukens gave the Mounties a 3-2 advantage scoring on a throwing error by the catcher throwing down at a stealing
Dio Infante.

The Huskies scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the third.

Bonanca drilled a two-run homer to right center in the fifth to regain the lead for Mansfield at 5-3. It was the senior's third of the season.

The Huskies edged within a run in the bottom of the fifth then forced extra innings with another run in the seventh.

In the top of the eighth,
Camren Ney got aboard with a lead-off single and moved over to second on a sac bunt. Lukens singled to the gap to bring home Ney and put Mansfield back on top 6-5.

In the bottom of the inning, the Huskies tied the game with a bases-loaded walk before Cole Swiger hit a walk-off grand slam to take the game 10-6.

Trey Hinkle earned the win in relief with
Edwin Lopez taking the loss.

In game two, it was all Bloomsburg who scored a two runs in the first, three in the second, and added another in the third to jump out to an early 6-0 lead. The Huskies capped the scoring by plating three more runs in the fifth.

Chad Cooperman earned the win on the mound with
Evan McAndrew taking the loss.

Mansfield hosts IUP at Shaute Field on Tuesday.
