MANSFIELD – Mansfield University women's soccer trailed by only one goal at halftime, but dropped their home opener 7-0 to Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon.
The Mountaineers played strong in the first half, allowing only one goal from the Rock's Brooke Testa off a pass from Maddy Tletski. Slippery Rock would go on to make their next six goals in the second half.

Alexis Bittel and
Nicolette DeSalvatore led the Mounties with two shots and one shot going on goal each.
