MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University women's soccer team (0-5-1, 0-5-1 PSAC) hung in until late in the game as Bloomsburg University (5-1-1, 4-1-1 PSAC) claimed a 4-0 victory.

The Mountaineers played an aggressive first half and were aided by the intense atmosphere as the crowd played a role in this PSAC matchup. They Mounties held the Huskies to a 1-0 lead before intermission as both
Cay McNichol and
Alexis Bittel took chances on goal.

Bloomsburg opened the scoring in the 25
th minute off a goal by Jamie Marsico, assisted by Allie Barber.

Both teams racked up fouls in the second half, allowing the Huskies to score their second and third goals of the game. Bloomsburg was assessed two yellow cards in the last 30 minutes of play.

Bittel recorded both shots on goal while
Dana DiCamillo made seven saves for Mansfield.

The Mountaineers hit the road as they face Clarion on Sunday before travelling to Millersville next Wednesday.
