MANSFIELD – IUP scored three late goals, including the game-winner by Elizabeth Clemmer at the buzzer, to stun Mansfield in a 3-2 heartbreaker at Karl Van Norman Field.

Both sides battled to a scoreless first half despite IUP (2-3, 0-0 PSAC) taking 11 shots and Mansfield (3-2, 0-0 PSAC) taking seven. Keeper
Brittany Ryan made several incredible saves to keep the Crimson Hawks off the board.

Mansfield opened the scoring in the second half with
Amber Prince's goal in the 47
th minute assisted by
Katie Lipski. The Mounties made it 2-0 on
Emily Sadowski's score in the 55
th minute. Both goals were the first of the season for Prince and Sadowski.

The Hawks got one back in the 61
st minute then quickly tied the game with another in the 63
rd. Clemmer played a deflected ball off the goalie's pads and into goal with no time remaining on the clock to stun the Mountaineers.

Mansfield held a 22-17 shots advantage in the game including 15-6 in the second half. The Mountaineers also led penalty corners 13-11.

The Mounties host No. 4 West Chester at Van Norman Field on Saturday.
