LOCK HAVEN – Mansfield dropped both ends of a PSAC Central doubleheader at Lock Haven Friday falling 2-1 in the opener and 8-1 in the nightcap.

Mansfield (20-11, 8-6 PSAC Central) was held to just one hit in game one, but
Rachael Sterner made it count, blasting a solo home run to right field in the second inning. It was Sterner's team-leading fifth homer of the season.

Lock Haven (19-17, 9-5 PSAC Central) tied the game in the bottom of the third inning before Jodi Weaknecht hit a walk-off RBI single in the seventh.

Bekah Slattery pitched a complete game win with four strikeouts.
Â
Arianna Young allowed just six hits and one earned run in the loss. She did not issue a walk through 27 batters faced.

In game two, Lock Haven broke open the scoring in the third inning with four runs then added three more in the fourth.

Mansfield got on the board with a
Leah McGovern RBI single to score Sterner in the sixth to cut the Lock Haven lead to 7-1.

The Bald Eagles tacked on another run in the bottom of the sixth.

Rachel Mouillesseaux got the win for LHU.
Sierra Storm took the loss.

Mansfield hosts Bloomsburg at Helen Lutes Field on Saturday for Senior Day.
