BRONX, N.Y. – Seniors
Kirsten Anderson,
Bailey Lutz, and
Ben Drexler all scored for the Mountaineers at the ECAC/ICAAAA Championships at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday.
Kenzie Jones led the women to a 21
st place team title while
Ryan Clifford paced the men to a 24
th team finish.
Jones posted a time of 18:33 on the 5k course, just ten seconds short of a top 20 finish. Freshman
Lyndsey Payne punched in a time of 21:14 good for 175
th overall. Senior Anderson rounded out the top three for the Mountaineers finishing 182
nd at 21:34 with
Pascalwoyldyna Leonard just six seconds behind her in 184
th.
Janelle Peachy completed Mountie scoring in 195
th at 22:26.
Mansfield finished 21
st in the field of 25 teams with 653 points. James Madison finished first with 60 points.
Clifford was the first to cross the finish line for the Mountaineers placing 46
th overall with a time of 26:25 in the men's 8k. Lutz finished his last race in 184
th at 29:42 as
Travis Keefe came in at 186
th 22 seconds later. Drexler (194) and sophomore
Dylan Rhodes (195) finished simultaneously with a time of 31:11.
Mansfield finished 24
th in the field of 25 teams with 667 points. Temple took home the title finishing with 43 points.
