MANSFIELD – Mansfield University sprint football completes a three-game home stand on Saturday when Chestnut Hill comes to town for the Josh Palmer Pigskin Classic.

Kick-off is set for Noon at Karl Van Norman Field.

The Palmer Classic honors former Mountaineer football player and cancer survivor Josh Palmer. Special edition Pigskin Classic t-shirts will be sold at the game and several items will be raffled off. All proceeds benefit the Josh Palmer Fund, which assists local cancer patients and their families' battle cancer.

Mansfield has won both meeting against Chestnut Hill since the Griffins joined the league in 2015. The Mountaineers earned a 22-6 victory on the road in 2015 and held on for a 26-21 win last season. Saturday marks Chestnut Hill's first visit to Karl Van Norman Field.

D.J. McLean leads the CSFL in receptions per game at 5.7 and is second in receiving yards a game at 76.7. Quarterback
Nick Cherasaro leads the league in pass attempts with 97 and pass completions at 45.

Josh Friebes is fourth in the league in tackles per game at 9.0 with
Kyle Post ranking 10
th at 7.7.
Dylan Flexer is tied for the most sacks in the CSFL with 4.0 after recording a pair in each of the last two games. Flexer also tops the league in tackles for loss with 6.5. Post, Flexer, and
Tae Miller each have one of the 11 interceptions across the league this season.

Chestnut Hill is winless on the season at 0-2 but have played opponents tough, falling 27-17 against Navy and 20-7 against defending CSFL Champion Penn. Quarterback Michael Marino is averaging 172.5 passing yards a game and has two passing touchdowns.
