EAST STROUDSBURG –
Katie Lipski ended her collegiate career by scoring an untimed goal at the end of regulation in a 3-1 loss at No. 2 ranked East Stroudsburg Saturday afternoon in the season finale.

Brittany Ryan capped an incredible season, making 21 saves against the nationally ranked Warriors.

East Stroudsburg (15-3, 8-2 PSAC) scored its first goal in the fifth minute with Hannah Caplan giving her team the early advantage. The Warriors dominated offensively in the half, totaling 17 shots and nine corners, but Mansfield would only concede one score.

ESU jumped out to a 3-0 advantage in the second half with goals by Kelli Shapiro and Paige Harrold.

Madison Wilinsky prevented the Warriors from scoring another goal in the half with her PSAC best eighth defensive save of the year.

The Mountaineers took advantage of their final plays of the season, drawing two untimed penalty corners at the end of regulation to set-up Lipski for her fifth goal of the year. Defender

The loss caps an incredible season for Mansfield that saw improvements in all areas. In her third season guiding the Mounties, head coach
Brittany Hansrote led her program to eight wins, the most since the 2007 season when Hansrote was a student-athlete at MU.

The Mountaineers knocked off a pair of nationally ranked opponents and finished eighth in the PSAC standings, two places ahead of the projection by the conference preseason coaches' poll.
