Kelsey Carlsen is set to compete with the best in the nation at the 2016 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. this weekend.

The women's javelin throw is scheduled to begin on Saturday, May 28 at 2:25 p.m. Live video and live results are available at the links above.

Carlsen is one of just 22 student-athletes competing in the women's javelin at nationals where she is seeded 13
th overall at 46.50 meters. Carlsen will throw in the first flight where she will have three attempts. The top eight marks from the preliminary round will advance to finals.

In her first throw of finals at the PSAC Championship two weeks ago, Carlsen hit a huge personal best and broke her own school record with her mark of 46.50m. The throw beat her season best by an incredible four meters and her career best by three meters. It was good for a third place finish at PSACs and earned the senior All-PSAC distinction.

It marks the second trip to the DII Championships for Carlsen, who finished 19
th overall in the javelin at the 2014 Championships in Turlock, Calif.
