Player of the Era - Dan Holland
Team of the Era -  2003

Karl Alston
A three-time All-PSAC selection, Karl Alston was named to 1st Team honors in 1981 and 1983 and was a 2nd Team selection in 1982 on the defensive line. He was named the MU Fall Athlete of the Year in 1983.

John "Jay" Atkins
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection on the offensive line in 1988, "Big Daddy" Atkins was the Frank Butsko Award recipient in 1994. The annual Jay Atkins Mountie Award is presented in his honor.

Bill Bair
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999, Bill Bair was a 1st Team All-PSAC selection at quarterback in 1990 throwing for a then school-record 2,317 yards and 19 touchdowns. A four-year football starter, Bill Bair owned 11 MU records. He earned PSAC East or ECAC Player of the Week honors eight times. During his stellar sophomore season, he attained a 61.0 passing percentage and finished in the top ten nationally in total offense. A two-time All-American and All-PSAC selection, Bill became the first and only football player in Mountaineer history to have his number retired in 1992.

Troy Barbusca
Named to All-PSAC 2nd Team honors at defensive back in 1988, Troy Barbusca was a tough and smart defender who had 74 tackles and five interceptions that season.

Mike Beamish
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 1987, Mike Beamish was a three-year starter at linebacker. He finished second on the team in tackles 1986 with 75 tackles.

Randall Beasley
A two-time All-PSAC selection, Randall "The Beast" Beasley earned 1st Team all-conference honors at linebacker in 1988 recording a team-best 6.5 sacks with five fumble recoveries.

Joe Bennett
A two-time All-PSAC selection including a 1st Team pick in 2003, Joe Bennett was one of the most dangerous receivers in Division II during his tenure. Bennett, an All-American in 2003, led the team with 53 catches for 819 yards and six touchdowns in 2001. After being forced to sit out all but one game in 2002, Bennett became the school's first player in school history to rack up a 1,000-yard receiving season when he caught 53 passes for 1,184 yards and school-record 17 touchdowns in 2003. Despite being saddled with injury again the following season, Bennett still led the team with 27 catches for 309-yards and five touchdowns.

Frank Bordonaro
A four-year letter-winner and three-year starter at linebacker, Frank Bordonaro racked up 219 tackles during his career with seven sacks and six interceptions. He finished second on the team in tackles during his senior season in 1991 with 89 tackles, three sacks, nine hurries and two interceptions.

Steve Boyce
A three-year starter at linebacker and defensive back, Steve Boyce racked up 255 tackles from 1991-94. Boyce was second on the team in tackles with 101 during his sophomore season and was second again in 1994 with 87 stops. He also broke up 14 passes and had three interceptions.

Lee Brannon
A 1st Team All-PSAC selection in 1999, Lee Brannon was one of the greatest running backs in school history and the first player to surpass the 1,000-yard rushing mark in a season. The second leading rusher in school history with 3,268 yards, Brannon twice rushed for more than 200 yards in a game and broke the 1,000-yard mark with 1,024 yards in 1998. In 1999, he carried the ball a school record 304 times without a fumble earning All-American honors.

Mark Bristol
A two-time 1st Team All-PSAC selection in 1998 and 1999 at offensive tackle, Mark Bristol was one of the top linemen in school history. Selected by the New York Jets as a free agent, Bristol also played for the practice squads for the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers. Named the Frank Butsko Award  recipient in 1999. Dr.Bristol is currently employed as surgeon at the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre.

Terrence Burton
One of the best nose guards in school history, Terrence Burton was a two-time All-PSAC selection earning 1st Team honors in 1987.  He was named to the All-PSAC 2nd Team in 1985.

Karl Buzak
An All-PSAC 2nd Team selection on the defensive line in 1998, Karl Buzak had 59 tackles that season including 13 for a loss along with a team high six sacks and three forced fumbles.

Kevon Calhoun
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 2006, Calhoun topped the team in rushing and scoring that season.

John Camoia
A 1st Team All-PSAC selection on the offensive line in 1987, John Camoia was also the MU Fall Athlete of the Year and Frank Butsko Award winner that season.

Barth Carson
A two-time All-PSAC selection on the offensive line, Barth Carson was named to 1st Team honors in 1996 and 2nd Team honors in 1997. He was selected the Frank Butsko Award recipient in 1997.

Don Chubb
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001, Don Chubb was a rare four-time All-PSAC selection earning 1st Team honors in 1985 while being named to the 2nd Team honors in 1981, 1982 and 1983. He was the first defensive player in school history to earn All-PSAC honors in all four seasons.

J.J. Cleaver
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 1997 at defensive back, J.J. Cleaver was a four-year starter in the secondary for the Mountaineers who played bigger than his size. Cleaver recorded 202 career tackles with six interceptions and 16 pass break-ups.

Freddie Coleman
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 1986, Freddie Coleman caught a team-high 41 passes for 644 yards and four touchdowns that season. A big-play guy, Coleman caught 12 passes for 308 yards and two scores averaging 27.7 yards per catch in 1985.

Jason Coleman
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection on the defensive line in 2001, Jason Coleman was a devastating pass rusher who recorded 51 tackles, including 11 for a loss, and had three sacks that season. Coleman racked up 45 tackles with four sacks and six quarterback hurries in 2000.

Ian Cooper
A four-year starter in the defensive secondary, Ian Cooper never finished lower than fourth in tackles in any season played. A starter from 1998-2001, Cooper racked up 226 tackles with 12 interceptions over the course of his career.

Ray Cortina
A two-time All-PSAC selection of the offensive line, Ray Cortina earned 1st Team honors in 1994 and 2nd Team honors in 1992. Named Frank Butsko Award recipient in 1995.

Jim Cosgrove
A 1st Team All-PSAC selection in 1987, Jim Cosgrove caught 35 passes for a team-high 553 yards and three touchdowns that season.

Nate Davis
One of the most versatile players of the era, Nate Davis was a two-time All-PSAC selection earning 2nd Team honors in 1997 and 1998. Often playing with injury, Davis led the team in catches in 1997 and 1998 and finished his career with 100 receptions for 1,351 yards and seven touchdowns.

Rodney Davis
Davis was an offensive sensation during the final two seasons of Division II football leading the team in receiving with a school-record 64 catches for 734 yards and six touchdowns in 2005 and topping the team with 34 receptions for 285 yards in 2006. In two seasons he caught 98 passes for 1,019 yards and rushed for 317 yards before being picked up by Wagner.

Brian DeCecco
A three-time All-PSAC selection on the defensive line, Brian DeCecco earned 1st Team honors in 2003 and 2004. A four-year starter, DeCecco rarely missed even a play and started every game over his four- year career. He racked up 146 tackles including 16 tackles for a loss and was a preseason All-American and All-Region selection.

Chuck Dibilio
An outstanding linebacker in the early 1980s, Chuck Dibilio saw his outstanding career ended by injury against Bloomsburg. In 1983, Dibilio had 109 tackles with four interceptions and three sacks.

Mark Doherty
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008, Mark Doherty was a four-year letter winner on the football team from 1991-94. A three-year starter in football, Doherty set a then-school record for catches (60) and receiving yards (906) during the 1994 season. He ranked among the PSAC and NCAA Division II leaders, earning First Team All-PSAC East and honorable mention All-American honors. Known as a fearless receiver over the middle, Doherty still ranks among the career reception leaders. Doherty was named the MU Fall Athlete of the Year in 1994 and went on to play professional football in Europe for two years after graduation.

Jason Donadi
Pound for pound one of the toughest running backs in school history, Jason Donadi was a 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 1995 when he ran for a team-high 704 yards and seven touchdowns. Donadi also finished second on the team that season with 24 catches for 199 yards and a touchdown. The three-time winner of the Louie Pompei Award, Donadi ran for more than 900 yards the following season. He finished his career with 2,249 yards.

Mike Drass
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010, Mike Drass was a four-year letterwinner and two-time All-PSAC selection in football as an offensive tackle for the Mountaineers from 1979-82. He is currently one of the most successful NCAA Division III coaches in the nation as the head coach of Wesley College and was named the NCAA Division III Coach of the Year in 2007.  

Chris Farris
A two-time 2nd Team All-PSAC East selection (2003 and 2004), Chris Farris was a four-year starter at guard on the offensive line from 2001-04. He was the mainstay of the offensive line that set school offensive records during his tenure. Farris was named the Frank Butsko Award recipient in 2004.

Troy Fisher
A three-time All-PSAC selection, Troy Fisher was named to 1st Team honors in 1981 and was a 2nd Team selection in 1982 and 1983 at running back. Fisher ran for 1,827 yards with 16 touchdowns during his career and was also a threat coming out of the backfield catching 81 passes for 662 yards.

Aaron Fiacconi
A four-year starter on the offensive line, Aaron Fiacconi was named to 1st Team All-PSAC honors in 2001. A three-year starter, Fiacconi was credited with 73 pancake blocks while allowing no sacks for his tackle position during the 2001 season. A fourth-round draft pick of the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL, Fiacconi started for the Alouttes, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos before retiring in 2012. He as the Eskimos' Most Outstanding Offensive Players in 2010. He was the recipient of the Frank Butsko Award in 2001.

Tino Fiori
Named to All-PSAC 2nd Team honors as a kicker in 1990, Tino Fiori hit 25 extra-points and two field goals that season

Jamar Folks
A three-time All-PSAC selection, Jamar Folks earned 1st Team honors at center in 2003 and 2004. A four-year starter, Folks earned All-American honors and played professionally with Pittsburgh in the Indoor Football League.

Joe Frick
Named to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors in 2004, Joe Frick was a stellar defensive back recording a team-high 89 tackles that season. A four-year starter, Frick had 225 career tackles along with eight sacks and four interceptions.

Scott Frick
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013, Scott Frick was a four-year letter-winner in football from 1990-93. A defensive tackle, Frick was named the PSAC East Rookie of the Year in 1990 when he recorded 42 tackles and six quarterback sacks during his freshman season. In 1992 Frick earned All-PSAC East honors finishing fourth on the team with 76 tackles and ranked among the conference leaders in quarterback sacks with eight. He also topped the team in quarterback hurries with 14 earning post season All-American recognition. As a senior in 1993, Frick repeated his All-PSAC East recognition ranking third on the team in total tackles with 63, including a team-best 14 tackles for a loss to once again earn All-American honors. Frick still holds the MU career record for sacks with 21.5.

Mike Gardier
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection at defensive back in 2006, Mike Gardier led the team in tackles with 84 that season with two interceptions and four pass-breakups and finished 6th in the PSAC in tackles.

Armond George
Named to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors in 1981, Armond George was one of four Mountaineer defensive linemen to receive all-conference recognition that season.

Nate Gibson
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014, Nate Gibson was a four-year starter on the football team playing his first two seasons under Coach Tom Elsasser and his junior and senior years under Joe Viadella. He started every game of his career, primarily at center where he was a three-time All-PSAC East selection earning second team honors as a sophomore and first team honors during his junior and senior campaigns. As a senior, Gibson was rated as the 6th best center in all of collegiate football by USA Today. Twenty-two NFL teams scouted Gibson and he was the first player in school history to be invited to attend the NFL Draft. Following the draft, Gibson signed a free-agent contract with the San Diego Chargers.

Billy Godfrey
Selected to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors in 1993, Billy Godfrey led the team in scoring with 25 points including 16 extra points and three field goals.

Tony Grego
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010, Tony Grego was a four-year starter on the defensive and offensive line for the Mountaineers after transferring for Penn State. A three-time All-PSAC East selection, Grego earned All-PSAC, All-ECAC and All-American honors as an offensive tackle as was a free agent signee with the Philadelphia Eagles later that year

Tim Griffiths
One of the most unselfish players of the era, Tim Griffiths moved positions often and played them all well. Starting as a defensive lineman and linebacker in the 1994 and 1995 seasons, 91 tackles over his first 16 games before moving over to the offensive line. A two-year starter on the "O" line, Griffiths was selected the Frank Butsko Award winner in 2010.

Scott Grochowski
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection at tight end, Scott Grochowski was a versatile player who caught 26 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns that season.

Matt Hanley
A two-time All-PSAC selection at punter, Hanley was also an excellent defensive player. Selected to 1st Team All-PSAC honors in 1998, Hanley was a 2nd Team selection in 1997. The school's all-time punt leader, Hanley kicked for 9,488 yards averaging 35.9 yards per boot. He led the team in tackles (86) and interceptions in 1997.

Walt Hartshorn
1st Team All-PSAC selection at tight end in 1990, Walt Hartshorn topped tight ends in the PSAC that season with 29 catches for 296 yards and a touchdown. Also named Frank Butsko Award recipient in 2013.
 
Dan Hegarty
Named to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors in 1981, Dan Hegarty was one of four Mountaineer defensive linemen to receive all-conference recognition that season. He finished his career with 188 tackles and six interceptions.
 
Dan Holland
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010, Dan Holland was a four-year starter at linebacker from 2000-2003 and is the only four-time 1st Team All-PSAC selection in school history. Holland was twice named the NCAA Division II Linebacker of the Year and was a two-time consensus All-American selection. In 2003, Holland finished fourth in overall voting for the Harlon Hill Trophy, the NCAA Division II equivalent of the Heisman Trophy. He also earned Academic All-American honors that season. He led the team in tackles in each of his four seasons racking a school-record 501 during his career.

Joe Holland
The self-proclaimed better-looking of the Holland brothers, Joe Holland was a 2nd Team All-PSAC selection on the defensive line in 2002. Holland moved from tight end to the defensive line after the 2000 season where he recorded 68 tackles and seven sacks.

Scott Holtzapple
A three-time All-PSAC 2nd Team selection, Scott Holtzapple earned all-conference honors at defensive back from 1983-85. He led the team in tackles with 96 in 1985 along with a team-best four sacks.

Steve Hover
 A two-time All-PSAC selection at guard, Steve Hoover earned 1st Team honors in 1991 and 2nd Team honors in 1990. Named the Frank Butsko Award Winner in 1992. A four-year starter on the offensive line.

Phil Hughes
Named to All-PSAC 2nd Team honors in 1981 and 1982 on the offensive line, Phil Hughes was a four-year starter at center from 1979-82.

Mike Hurley
Mike Hurley was a 2nd Team selection in 1990 and 1992. Hurley booted 47 punts in 1990 for 1771 yards averaging 38.7 yards per kick. A four-year starter, Hurley kicked for 7,758 yards averaging 35.9 yards per boot.

Brett Ickes
Two-time All-PSAC selection at linebacker earning 1st Team honors in 1992 and 2nd Team honors in 1993. Ickes led the team with 103 tackles in 1992 and was second with 100 stops in 1993.

Luke Ingersoll
A four-year starter on the offensive line from 2001-2004, Ingersoll played virtually every down of every offensive play over that span. He was named the Frank Butsko Award recipient in 2005.

Craig Jobes
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006, Craig Jobes was the starting quarterback for the football program during the 1986, 87 and 88 seasons. His strong right arm helped change the Mountaineers offensive scheme for years to come. The PSAC East Rookie of the Year in 1986 after passing 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns, Jobes threw for 1,882 yards and 13 TD's in 1987. Jobes was leading the PSAC in passing in 1988 before being forced to miss two games with injuries late in the season. He still managed to pass for 1,830 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was named the NCAA Division II National Player of the Week after a school record six touchdown passes in a win over Kutztown

Charlie Johnson
A two-time 2nd Team All-PSAC selection on the offensive line, Charlie Johnson became famous for running the "fumblerooskie". Johnson, who earned all-conference recognition in 1989 and 1990, was named the Frank Butsko Award winner in 1990.

Jon Johnson
A two-time All-PSAC selection at defensive back, Jon Johnson earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in 1999 and 2000. Johnson, who was also a fearless punt returner, racked up 215 career tackles with 15 interceptions.

Joel Kargbo
A three-time All-PSAC selection on the defensive line, Joel Kargbo earned 1st Team honors in 1994 and was a 2nd Team selection in 1995 and 1996. Karbo ended his career with 176 tackles and 15.5 sacks.

Mike Katz
A two-time 2nd Team All-PSAC selection, Mike Katz earned all-conference honors in the defensive secondary in 1980 and 1982.

Jim Keenan
A 1st Team All-PSAC pick in 1989 on the offensive line, Jim Keenan was also named the Frank Butsko Award winner in 2008.

Riki Kimble
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016, Riki Kimble was a four-year member of the football team from 1985-88. A linebacker, Kimble was named to All-PSAC East honors in 1988 when he led the conference in tackles with 133. He recorded 10 or more tackles in nine games that season including a career-best 20 stops against Millersville. Kimble amassed 225 tackles in his career and was noted for his ability to be around the ball recovering six fumbles, including a team-high four in 1987. He also recorded three interceptions and six sacks. His 133 tackles in 1988 tied the school record for tackles in a season and still ranks third most in school history. Kimble also ranks in the top ten in school history in career tackles.

Mike Klecko
A two-time All-PSAC selection, Mike Klecko was one of the great tight ends in school history earning 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 2000 and 1999. Klecko, the son of former NFL standout Joe Klecko, caught 86 passes for 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns while leading the team in catches in 2000 and 1999.

Jim Ludwig
Few have shown more grit than Jim Ludwig. A four-year starter at linebacker, Ludwig racked up 76 tackles despite injuries during his first two seasons. Forced to miss 1997, Ludwig came back to lead the team with 75 tackles in 1998 and had 50 stops during his season year.

Duane MacDonald
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004, Duane MacDonald was a four-year starter for the Mountaineer football team and went on to become the leading receiver in the history of the PSAC before his career ended in 1990. In 1989, MacDonald set a school-record with 60 catches for 740 yards and eight touchdowns. He caught 59 passes for 762 yards and seven touchdowns in 1990. MacDonald held the school records for career receptions (177) and reception yardage (2,497) and ranks second in touchdowns (24). A three-time All-PSAC East selection, MacDonald was named to Second Team honors in 1988 and 1990 while earning First Team honors in 1989

Ryan McClellan
The only two-time recipient of the Frank Butsko Award, Ryan McClellan was a four-year starter at offensive tackle and two-time All-PSAC selection earning 2nd Team honors in 2002 and 2003.

Sean McKinnie
An all-purpose player, Sean McKinnie caught 100 passes for 1,337 yards and 10 touchdowns from 1986 through 1990. The nation's leading receiver during the early part of the 1990 season, McKinnie finished with 54 catches for 604 yards and four touchdowns that year. He was also effective at running back, especially in short yardage situations rushing for 225 yards and five touchdowns while also returning kicks for more than 500 yards.

Earnest "Poohbear" McNeal
The greatest running back in Mountaineers history, Poohbear McNeal was a three-time All-PSAC selection and 2003 PSAC Rookie of the Year. A 1st Team All-American that season, McNeal led NCAA Division II in all-purpose yardage with 2,392 yards. McNeal also set a school-record with 1,614 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns. A two-time 1,000-yard rusher, McNeal holds the school record for rushing yards in a game (272 vs. Millersville in 2003), season (1.614) and career (3,601).

Jason Miller
Overshadowed, but never outplayed by his older brother Johnny, Jason Miller had an outstanding four-year career with the Mountaineers. He still holds the school record for receiving yards in a game with 222-yards in an upset win over nationally ranked Edinboro catching TD passes of 95, 62 and 41-yards in that game. Big-play guy who had touchdown catches of 95 and 86-yards. Caught 115 for 1,856 yards and 13 TD's in his career.

Johnny Miller
A three-time 1st Team All-PSAC honoree at wide receiver from 1991-93, Johnny Miller was one of the best ever receivers in Mountaineer history. Miller, who caught a single-game school record of 12 passes in a win against Slippery Rock in 1991 and ended his career with as the only player in school history to surpass 1,000 yards in receiving (1,315), punt return (1,315) and kickoff returns (1933).

Dave Mitchell
One of the top linebackers in MU history, Dave Mitchell was a three-time All-PSAC selection earning 1st Team honors in 1993 and 1995 and 2nd Team honors in 1994. Mitchell ranks second in school history with 437 tackles. Two-time All-American selection who led in tackles in each of his last three seasons.

Ronnie Montgomery
Named to All-PSAC 2nd Team honors as a kick returner in 2005, Ronnie Montgomery also excelled at defensive back during his four-year career. Montgomery set a school record with 266 yards in kickoff returns against California in 2005 and season record of 776 yards in kick-off returns.

Travis Motley
A rare four-year starter at quarterback, Travis Motley holds the school career-record with 7,547 passing yards with 62 touchdown tosses. Motley ranked second in passing in the PSAC in 2002 averaging 238.3 yards per game with 18 touchdown passes. He also finished 2nd in the conference in total offense that season averaging 236.5 yards per game.

Tom Murphy
A three-year starter and four-year letterwinner on the offensive line, Tom "Murph" Murphy was the definition of team player starting at center, guard and tackles over the course of his career. He was named the Frank Butsko Award recipient in 1993.

John Myers
Named to 1st Team All-PSAC honors as a defensive back in 1984, John Myers had 45 tackles and two interceptions the season prior.

Jimmy Nicholson
A two-time All-PSAC selection at defensive back, Jimmy Nicholson was named to 1st Team honors in 1996 and 2nd Team honors in 1995. Nicholson led the team in tackles in 1996 with 71 stops and also topped the PSAC with seven interceptions that season.

Tryee Patterson
A two-time All-PSAC selection on the defensive line, Tryee Patterson was named to 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 1997 and 2000. A four-year starter, Patterson recorded 110 tackles including 32 for a loss along with 12 sacks in his career.

Mark Pieters
An All-PSAC 2nd Team selection on the defensive line in 1985, Mark Pieters recorded 59 tackles with a team-high five sacks that season.

Louis Pompei
A 1986 graduate of Mansfield University and four-year letter-winner, Pompei was a standout on special teams throughout his career and inspiration to many. Always sacrificing for the good of the team, Pompei defined the true spirit of a Mountaineer football player. A police officer in Glendora, CA, Louie was killed during an off-duty robbery. The Louis Anthony Pompei Memorial Scholarship is named in his honor.

Rod Pursell
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 1993, Rod Pursell was a four-year starter on the offensive line for the Mountaineers from1983-86. He was considered the anchor of the "O" line that allowed running back Robert Funderburk to gain a school record 2,611 yards over that period. He was the winner of four varsity letters and a co-captain in 1986. He was a 1st-Team All-PSAC East Selection in 1985 and 1986 and named to the Little All-American team in 1986. Respected by both peers and opponents, he was the first recipient of the Frank A. Butsko Award presented annually to the offensive lineman who most shows "loyalty to his peers and coaching staff and leadership through example on the gridiron

Steve Radacaj
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996, Steve Radocaj,  is considered one of the greatest defensive players in Mountaineer history during a career in Mansfield which ran from 1979-1982. A four-time letter winner, Radocaj was a three-time All-Conference selection at linebacker, including first-team selections in 1980 and 1981. He led the team in tackles in 1980 (105), 1981 (133), and 1982 (102) and still holds the school record for tackles in a game with 26 against Brockport in 1982.

Marwin "The Hitman" Reeves
Selected to All-PSAC 2nd Team honors in 1994, Marwin Reeves was a tenuous part of the Mountaineer secondary who let a mark of every receiver he covered. During the 1994 season, Reeves finished third on the team in tackles with 75 while intercepting two passes. He had six interceptions during the 1992 season along with 63 tackles.

Matt Regulski
A two-time 2nd Team All-PSAC East selection in 1900 and 1991, Matt Gegulski was the keystone of the defensive line at noseguard during those season recording 97 tackles and six sacks over that span.

Jeff Sampson
Named to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors of the offensive line in 1984, Jeff Sampson was the recipient of the Frank Butsko Award in 2012.

Tim Savage
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 1994, Tim Savage was the cornerstone of a strong offensive line that contained three all-conference picks that season. He was named the Frank Butsko Award recipient in 1996. Part of a Mansfield Legacy football family his father Pat and uncle Don were member of the Division III All-Era team.

Mike Sedun
A sack-master, Mike Sedun was a three-year starter at defensive end. Sedun record 7.5 sacks in 1992, the second most in a season in school history even though he missed two games with injury. He had five sacks in 1993 but suffered an injury during the offseason that kept him from playing football again until 1996. Despite being hobbled by the injury, Sedun started all 10 games in 1996 picking up 1.5 sacks. He ended his career with 15 sacks, the seventh most in school history.

Scott Seislove
Named to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors at running back in 1984, Scott Seislove ran for a team-best 603 yards averaging 4.6 yards per carry that season.

Jason Shilala
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 1994, Jason Shilala set the school single season rushing record that season with 965 yards and eight touchdowns. He left early in his final game or would have certainly become the first runner in school history to surpass the 1,000-yard milestone. He led the team with 1,046 all-purpose yards that season and in scoring with eight touchdowns.

Keith Slezak
Named to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors in 2004, Keith Slezak was a three-year starter on the defensive line for the Mountaineers from 2003-2005. During his four-year career, Slezak racked up 174 tackles including 24 for a loss and 7.5 sacks.

Matt Stehman
Named to 1st Team All-PSAC honors in 1991 as a place kicker, Matt Stehman shattered the school records that season by hitting 29 of 32 extra points and 13 of 18 field goals that season for a team-best 68 points.

Dean Stewart
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002, Dean Stewart was a four-year letter-winner and one of just three players to earn All-Conference honors all four seasons. As a freshman in 1989, Stewart set school records for rushing yards in a half (212), game (230), and at that time season (890). He was the third leading rusher in the PSAC East that season. The leading rusher on the team in each of his four seasons, Stewart is the only player in MU history to rush for 650 or more in each of his four seasons. Stewart was a three-time preseason and two-time postseason All-American selection who earned PSAC East or ECAC South Player of the Week honors 12 times during his career. The 1989 PSAC East and ECAC South Rookie of the Year, Stewart was also named the 1992 MU Fall Athlete of the Year. Stewart's 2,883 career rushing yards was a school-record. He also holds the record for average yards per rush for a career (5.10) while eight of his 20 touchdown runs went for 40 or more yards. He was leading the PSAC East in rushing before a career ending injury in the seventh game of his senior season. Stewart was selected in the fifth round of the Canadian Football League draft in 1993 by the Toronto Argonauts. The 36th overall pick, Stewart is the highest draft choice in MU history.

Mark Traister
Mark Traister was a three-time All-PSAC selection earning 1st Team honors in 1980 and 1981 and 2nd Team honors in 1982.

Andre' Turner
A four-time All-PSAC selection, Andre' Turner earned 2nd Team honors at linebacker from 2003-2006. Turner's 351 career tackles rank fourth in school history as does his 27.5 tackles for a loss. He never finished lower than 2nd on the team in tackles in any season he played.

George Yaniger
A 2nd Team All-PSAC selection in 1990, George Yaniger was a three-year starter a defensive back, Yaniger recorded 54 tackles with five interceptions that season.

Ron Walters
A four-year letter-winner at linebacker, Ron Walters was a tackling machine. He led the team in tackles in 1989 with 76 tackles and was second in 1988 with a remarkable 124 stops. Over the course of his career, Walters recorded 288 tackles with 10.5 sacks and four interceptions.

Willie Watts
Inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015, Willie Watts was a four-year letter winner as a linebacker on the football team under the direction of head coach Tom Elsasser. A three-year starter, Watts was named to 1st Team All-PSAC honors as a senior in 1990 and was a 2nd Team selection in 1989. He also earned 1st Team All-ECAC South selection in 1990. Watts was a three-time PSAC East and ECAC South Defensive Player of the Week selection and was a 1990 Pre-Season All-American selection by two separate national publications. He was also the 1990 Mansfield University Fall Athlete of the Year. An exceptional athlete, Watts was the third-leading tackler in school history when he graduated in 1991 and held the school record for tackles for a loss with 25. He still ranks fifth in school history with 254 career stops

Jim Weaver
Named to 2nd Team All-PSAC honors of the defensive line in 1984, Jim Weaver had racked up 75 tackles and four sacks the season prior and was a three-year starter.

Rob Wheelock
A two-time All-PSAC selection at defensive end, Rob Wheelock was named to 1st Team honors in 1987 and 2nd Team honors in 1986. He led the team in tackles in 1987 with 96 while recording a team-best 8.5 sacks.

Bob Whitmer
An outstanding kicker, Bob Whitmer still holds school-record for a 52-yard field goal against Edinboro in 1982. Leading scorer on the team in 1984 and second in 1982.

John Wood
A two-time All-PSAC selection, John Wood was named to 1st team honors in 1988 and was a 2nd Team pick in 1987. He led the team in receiving in both seasons pulling down 43 passes for 511 yards and five touchdowns in 1988 with 36 receptions for 434 yards and two touchdowns in 1987. Wood ended his career catching 127 passes for 1,505 yards.

Bryan Woodworth
PSAC Rookie of the Year in 1993, Bryan Woodworth, threw for a then school-record 2,714 yards and 17 touchdowns in 1994. In three seasons as the starting quarterback, Woodworth threw for 4,971 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Joe Zaparzynski
A four-year standout in the secondary, Joe Zaparzynski twice led the team in interceptions with five picks in 1987 and 1988. Recorded 169 career tackles and 20 pass breakups along with seven sacks on blitzes. He picked off 12 career passes. Ranks fourth in career breakups and fifth in career interceptions.

Rob Zientek
A three-time All-PSAC selection at defensive back, Rob Zientek was named to all-conference 2nd team honors in 1989, 1990 and 1991. He led the PSAC with seven interceptions in 1989 and finished his career with 168 tackles, 33 pass breakups and 17 interceptions. Ranks first in career breakups and second in interceptions.
