Mounties Fall at Nationally Ranked Edinboro in Season-Ender

Mansfield Drops Season Finale at Nationally Ranked Edinboro

EDINBORO – Nationally-ranked Edinboro got two first half goals from Ashley Mutkus on its way to beating Mansfield 3-0 in a PSAC women's soccer match Saturday morning.

The game was the finale of the 2016 season for Mansfield.

Mutkus scored in the 12th and 21st minutes to give Edinboro a 2-0 halftime lead. The Fighting Scots added the game's final goal 13 minutes into the second half off a rebound by Alex Root.

Abbey Korber had a shot on goal for Mansfield and Rachel Fox recorded six saves.
