Early Goals Sink Mansfield at Mercyhurst

ERIE – Mercyhurst scored both its goals over a minute span early in the first half to slip by Mansfield 2-0 in a PSAC women's soccer match Sunday afternoon.

Mercyhurst scored on a header by Jinan Abdalah Funes off a corner kick in the 17^th minute and came right back with a goal by Maia Russo less than a minute later in what proved to be the only scoring in the game.

Delaney Meadows had two of Mansfield's three shots in the game with Abbey Korber being credited with the Mountaineers other shot.

Rachael Fox had five saves on the day before being relieved by Sarah Nezelek.

Mansfield host Kutztown this Wednesday afternoon at the Soccer Field.
