MANSFIELD – Mansfield put five shots on goal, but Megan Tiwold scored two first-half goals to lead No. 8 Kutztown past the Mounties on Saturday at Andre Reed Stadium.
 
Kutztown (9-5, 3-3 PSAC) got on the board in the fourth minute with Tiwold's first goal assisted by Julia Snyder and then again in the 30^th minute off a penalty corner.
 
Mansfield got off just two shots in the first half, but matched the nationally-ranked Golden Bears in the second half with seven shots.
 
Christie Buyer put two shots on goal with Abbie Predmore, Gabby Hieber and Meghan Griffin each putting a shot on frame.
 
Keeper Laura Lawson made nine save sin the game.
 
Mansfield travels to West Chester on Tuesday.
