Delaney Meadows took a long midfield pass from
Karyn Anselmo in the last minute of the game and put it off the hands of the goalie with 34 seconds remaining to lift Mansfield to a 3-2 win over Millersville in a PSAC thriller Tuesday afternoon.
The teams were locked in a 2-2 tie for the last 38 minutes of the game after Millersville rallied with two second half goals. Both teams exchanged scoring opportunities before Anselmo got control of the ball off a scramble in the final minute and kicked it forward to Meadows. Kelsey Chapman and heading it past the goalie from right in front of the goal in the 24th minute.
Mansfield went up 2-0 nine minutes later with freshman
Katlin Holborn taking a pass from
Danielle Lentz and beating the keeper to the right from eight yards out for a 2-0 advantage.
That score stood up for the first half thanks to a number of outstanding saves by Mountaineer goalie
Rachel Fox.

The Marauders tied the game up less than two minutes later when Halie Parker chipped a ball into the upper right corner from 20 yards out to tie the score at 2-2.

Nicole Holborn put a header on goal but the ball was scooped up by the goalie.
Fox returned the favor in goal for Mansfield stopping a long shot by Millersville's Emily Purcell in the 86th minute. Moments later Chapman almost regained the lead when she put a ball that got through the goal and slowly rolled toward the goal before being denied by the post.
Action was fast and furious in the second half with the teams combining for 19 shots on goal, nine of the by the Mountaineers.
Fox was outstanding in goal stopping 17 of 19 shots while Millersville's two goalies, Samantha Wolfe and Kaitlyn Remely, combined for 10 saves.
