FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lambert Sets Mansfield 500m Dash Record at Bomber Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y. – Freshman Michaela Lambert broke a Mansfield indoor record in the 500m dash with a time of 1:17.24 to lead the Mountaineers at Ithaca's Bomber Invitational on Saturday.

Lambert broke a nine-year-old school record in the 500m held by none other than her own coach Steph Cadwell. Cadwell set the previous school record back in 2005 with a time of 1:18.1. It marks the second indoor school record set by the freshman after setting the 400m mark earlier this year.

Rachel Hohenwarter qualified for the PSAC Indoor Championships with a throw of 11.35m in the shot put.

Joelsen Resimo finished ninth in the 3,000m run with a PSAC-qualifying time of 8:56.75. Jordan Boothe just missed a PSAC mark in the 800m with a 12^th place time of 2:01.19.

Benjamin Drexler was fifth in the 1,000m at 2:37.89. Kristy Scordino also finished fifth in the women's 1,000m at 3:06.42 with Allison Macon coming in ninth at 3:11.79.

Mansfield travels to Cornell's Deneault Invitational next week for the last regular season meet of the indoor season.
