MANSFIELD - Limestone used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Mansfield 5-0 at Van Norman Field on Saturday afternoon.

Limestone's Stembeni Zhanda scored the first goal of the game eight minutes into the first half to give the Saints an early 1-0 lead.

Allyson Meyer scored her fourth goal of the season in the 19
th minute to give the Saints a 2-0 lead midway through the first half. Maria Patterson added another goal for the Saints of an assist from Nicolle Grant in the 31
st minute to give Limestone a 3-0 edge heading into halftime.

Limestone would score two goals in the first five minutes of the second half to push their lead to 5-0 and secure a victory against the Mountaineers.

Rachel Goromonzi scored her 18
th goal of the season in the win for Limestone.

The contest marked the final game for Mansfield head coach
Diane Monkiewicz who closed out her 17
th season at the helm for the Mountaineers and finished as the all-time wins leader with 121 victories.

Laura Lawson entered the day as the nation's Division II saves leader and added 13 saves in the loss. Lawson finished with 239 saves for the 2014 campaign which ranks second all-time for the Mountaineers for saves in single season.

Mansfield finishes 2014 with an overall record of 3-15 and a 3-11 PSAC mark.
