Mansfield Drops 1-0 Decision to East Stroudsburg in Home Opener
MANSFIELD – Mansfield goalie Alana Krieger recorded nine saves but East Stroudsburg's Kerri McClay slipped one ball past her to record a 1-0 win in a PSAC East contest Saturday afternoon.

The offensive tide switched in the seventh minute with East Stroudsburg got off four straight shots, three of the resulting in saves by Krieger, before McClay dribbled a ground ball into the left side of the net from five yards off an assist from outside the box by Lexie Peveraro.
The goal proved to be the only scoring in the game as Mansfield struggled to put pressure on East Stroudsburg goalie Brittain Wagner.
Krieger had a number of solid stops by Mansfield put just one shot on goal during the afternoon.
East Stroudsburg (2-0) had 20 total shots to Mansfield's nine on the afternoon while also holding a 5-1 advantage on corners.
Lentz, Kerwin and
Karyn Anselmo were all credited with two shots in the game.
Mansfield falls to 0-2 on the season and will host Shippensburg this Tuesday starting at 4 p.m. at the Soccer Field.
