Box Score FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mercyhurst Scores Three Goals over Last 15 minutes to Pull Away From Mansfield

ERIE, PA – Mercyhurst scored three goals over the last 15 minutes of the game to pull out a 4-0 win over Mansfield in a PSAC matchup Wednesday afternoon.

An injury-depleted Mansfield squad played the Lakers tough over the first 75 minutes before wearing down.

The Lakers broke a 0-0 tie with a 40-yard goal by Gabrielle Catrabone with less than three minutes to play in the first half.

That 1-0 lead stood for the first 30 minutes of the second half before Mercyhurst (9-7-1, 9-6-1 PSAC) got a pair of goals over a four minute span to put the game out of reach.

Danielle Lentz, Jessica Allen and Rachel Hohenwarter each had a shot on goal for the Mountaineers.

Mercyhurst held a 13-3 advantage in shots on goal and was awarded seven corner kicks to Mansfield's one.

Mansfield (4-11-1, 3-11-1 PSAC) wraps up the 2013 campaign when the Mountaineers host Gannon this Saturday for Senior Day.
