Erika Moyer scored her 12th career goal but it won't be enough as Mansfield suffered its first loss of the season in a 4-1 non-conference setback at Roberts Wesleyan Tuesday night.
Roberts Wesleyan (4-2-0) got on the board first when Brittany Houghton scored her fifth goal of the season from 15-yards out in the 19th minute of the game.
The score remained 1-0 though halftime before Moyer scored her unassisted goal off a scramble in front of the net in the 54th minute to tie the game at 1-1. It marked her second goal of the season.
But Roberts Wesleyan answered 12 minutes later when the Mountaineers, playing a defender short, gave up two goals in less than a minute to Brittany Kinmond for a 3-1 lead with 23 minutes remaining in the game.
Briana Tata scored the game's final goal in the 86th minute.
Roberts Wesleyan held a 14-5 shot advantage and took three corner kicks to Mansfield's one.
Alexis Wilhelm was credited with four saves for Mansfield while Breanna Maggio had three saves for Roberts Wesleyan.
It marked the first loss for the Mountaineers who fall to 1-1-1 on the season.
Mansfield travels to West Chester Friday night followed by a game at Millersville on Saturday.
