FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Brenae Edwards goes for third straight All-American finish in 5000 meters at NCAA Division II Championship this evening

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University standout Brenae Edwards will attempt to end her collegiate indoor career with an All-American three-peat when she competes in the 5000 meters this evening at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championship.

Edwards, who earned All-American honors with a third-place finish in the event in 2010 and 7th place finish in 2011, is slated to run in a field of 13 other runners this evening at 7:05 EDT at Minnesota State Mankato.

Edwards is seeded 8th going into tonight's final with a time of 16:47.39. The top eight finishers are awarded All-American recognition.
