It was a huge improvement for the men's team which finished 13th at last year's championship.

On the women's side, a Mansfield team that had  been nationally and regional ranked early in the season, continued to suffer from the injury-bug which has plagued the team for much of the season. Kait Chewidden was MU's second-best runner coming in 75th with a time of 25:29.9. Amy Lee was 8th (26:24.4) with Kristen Von Beveren 92nd (26:33.6) and Rachel Tylock 102nd (28:14.6).

Shippensburg captured the women's title with 62 team points. Mansfield had 409 points.

The North Atlantic Regional Championship is set in two weeks at Lock Haven.
