FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Moyer scores but Mounties fall to IUP 4-1 in women's soccer

MANSFIELD – Junior Erika Moyer scored her first goal of the season but it wouldn't be enough as Mansfield dropped a 4-1 PSAC decision at IUP Wednesday.

IUP (2-0-1, 1-0-1) bunched together four first half goals in the first half with Heather Robbins knocking in two goals while Melissa Kornock recorded a goal and assist.

The Crimson Hawks outshot Mansfield 12-0 in the first half before Moyer scored an unassisted goal in the game's 58th minute.

Freshman goalie Alana Krieger shut out IUP in the second half stopping four shots.

Mansfield falls to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Mountaineers are off this weekend before hosting Clarion on Sept. 20.
