EDINBORO – Edinboro got second half goals from Elizabeth Debo and Amber McLaughlin to beat Mansfield 3-0 in a PSAC women's soccer contest Saturday afternoon in Edinboro.

The Fighting Scots, ranked No. 24 in the latest NSCAA Division II poll, scored their first goal in just over eight minutes into the game on an unassisted goal by Karisa Fernandez.

The score held up through halftime although the Mountaineers did get a couple of shots on goal by sophomore Danielle Murray. Mansfield also had shots on goal by Jessica Kerwin, Leah Fuerst and Erika Moyer.

Edinboro held a 30-7 shots advantage and were awarded six corner kicks to none by Mansfield.
Mansfield junior goalie Alexis Wilhelm was credited with 14 saves while Edinboro keeper Kate Stukbauer had four saves in recording the shutout.

Mansfield closes out the 2011 season with three games this coming week starting with an away game at Shepherd (WV) on Tuesday.
