FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: East Stroudsburg edges Mounties 1-0 in women's soccer

EAST STROUDSBURG -- Mansfield's Alexis Wilhelm stopped 12 shots but East Stroudsburg's Kerri McClay scored off a assist by Carly Collins two minutes into to lead East Stroudsburg to a 1-0 win over the Mountaineers in a PSAC women's soccer contest Saturday night.

Both teams played to a 0-0 tie after the first 45 minutes of the game before McClay goal just over a minute into the second half.
Mansfield Neele Hoerner tried to tie the score in the 75 minute but Brittain Wagner stopped the shot to preserve the win.

Mansfield also had shots by Amanda Quinn, Stephanie Hetrick and Leah Fuerst.

East Stroudsburg (5-8-1, 2-8-1 PSAC) held a 22- 4 shot advanage and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Mountaineers travel to Slippery Rock on Tuesday.
