FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield women drop 5-0 decision to IUP 

MANSFIELD – Melissa Kornock scored two goals to lead IUP to a 5-0 win over Mansfield in PSAC women's soccer Wednesday afternoon. 

Kornock scored her first goal seven minutes into the game and IUP added another score on a goal by Kelsey Fisher in the final minute of the first half to take a 2-0 lead into intermission. 

Mansfield was outshot 24-7 overall including 13-2 in the first half. Neele Hoerner recorded two shots on goal for Mansfield. 

Kelly Brennan recorded three saves in recording the shutout for IUP while Mansfield goalies Alexis Wilhelm and Samantha DeLiere combined for eight saves. 

IUP improves to 4-2-1 overall while Mansfield falls to 1-5-1. 

Mansfield now has a eight day break before traveling to California on Oct. 1.
