Why did you choose Mansfield University?
I did not initially choose Mansfield. I went to Clemson University for my first year of college. I chose to transfer to Mansfield University because Harry Hillson made me feel wanted at MU. It was because of his relationship with me that I chose to come to Mansfield.

What makes Mansfield University special to you?
Mansfield is a special to me because Mansfield University always made me feel like I was part of a large family that cared about me, wanted what is best for me, and made me feel that I mattered to them. Friends, teammates, coaches, professors, administrators, cafeteria workers, etc. all contributed to me having a fantastic experiences at Mansfield University. Knowing that all of these people cared about me, made me care about them just as much if not more. To this day, I owe a great deal to Mansfield University. 

How did your experiences at Mansfield University benefit your career/personal life following graduation?
Mansfield enabled me to establish relationships with people that I will have the rest of my life. My experiences, as an education major, were unmatched. I had people who believed in me and taught me the value of investing in the lives of others.

Favorite memory at Mansfield
All of my road trips and games with my teammates and coaches. Playing in 2 College World Series and for a National Championship in 1992.

Advice you would give to a current Mansfield student-athlete
Play every game and practice like it's the last time you will ever play again. Do whatever it takes to make your team better and always put them ahead of yourself. Most of all, have fun! Take what you do as a student and as an athlete very seriously, but don't take yourself too seriously.
