MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University women's basketball squad will look to snap a three-game losing skid when the Mounties welcome the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University to Decker Gymnasium in the first of three straight home games.

The Mountaineers are off to a 7-13 start and hold a 4-12 PSAC mark. Mansfield won two straight games defeating Cheyney and Kutztown before losing three straight at the hands of Millersville, West Chester, and Shippensburg.
Mallory Moore is the PSAC scoring and steals leader at 18.8 ppg and 3.3 spg respectively while ranking second in free throw percentage (87.2%) and in offensive rebounding (3.5 rpg).
Julia Stevenson is averaging 11.5 ppg (28
th PSAC) while
Marrysa Moyer ranks 10
th in the conference in rebounding with a team-high 7.4 rpg.
The Mounties came away with a 70-58 road victory over East Stroudsburg in the first meeting of the season. In that game, Moore scored a team-high 19 points while Stevenson,
Alyssa DeRichie and
Jena Matter all scored in double-figures.
East Stroudsburg is on a three-game winning streak after stunning PSAC East leading West Chester University on a Fayola Moise putback with 2.8 seconds remaining to give ESU the 60-58 win. The Warriors followed that win by taking down Cheyney and Kutztown on the road.
The Warriors are led by senior Cyara Woodridge who's averaging 10.5 points per game while sophomore Andrea Veres and freshman Jessica Martin average 9.6 and 9.4 respectively.
The Mountaineers host Cheyney University on Saturday, February 11 followed by Bloomsburg University on Wednesday February 14.
