2011 Tournament Preview Release

MANSFIELD, Pa. -- The tentative schedule for the 2011 Joel Stephens Invitational Tournament has been released. This year marks the 13th annual edition of the prestigious wood bat tournament, held each year in Tioga County, Pa. to honor the memory of Joel Stephens.

Once again this year the tournament is scheduled to run over the fourth of July holiday, kicking off Saturday, July 2 and concluding Monday, July 4. A total of 16 teams representing Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Ontario, Canada are scheduled to compete for the title.

A total of 16 games will be played each of the first two days of the tournament, with four games each day at Shaute Field on the Mansfield University campus, Kelly Field at Smythe Park in Mansfield and Joel Stephens Memorial Field at Williamson High School in Williamson.
